This lecture is organized in discrete sections on fluid flow, heat transfer and mass transport. As an introduction to transport phenomena to students who have not had any previous exposure to fluid dynamics or heat and mass transport, an explanation of fundamentals of transport phenomena are emphasized and their practical applications in metallurgical process are also studied.
